Allen ISD Students Outperform State on Achievement Tests

Texas students in Allen ISD just proved that steady focus on learning pays off, with test scores that topped both regional and statewide results across every subject and grade level.

The district's performance on the 2025-26 State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness showed impressive gains. At least 88% of Allen ISD students met or exceeded grade-level standards, compared to just 74% of students statewide.

The results covered tests in grades 3 through 8, plus high school exams in Algebra 1, Biology, English 1 and 2, and U.S. History. Students showed particular strength in reaching the "meets" and "masters" performance levels, the two highest achievement categories.

Jennifer Wilhelm, assistant superintendent of Learner Services, shared the results with the school board in late August. She credited teachers and campus leaders for their dedicated work supporting student learning throughout the year.

The district maintained its status as what Wilhelm called a "high-achievement district" that continues to outpace neighboring schools. The Texas Education Agency awarded Allen ISD an A rating for the school year based on these test scores and other performance factors.

These results matter beyond just numbers on a page. When students master core subjects like reading, math, and science, they build confidence that carries into every aspect of their education.

Wilhelm emphasized that the work continues this school year, with staff focusing on areas for continued growth while celebrating current successes. The district remains committed to supporting academic achievement for every student who walks through their doors.
