Atlanta's Beltline Launches Portal to Ease Volunteering

Getting involved in your community just got a whole lot simpler for Atlanta residents.

The Atlanta Beltline Partnership launched a new online volunteer portal on June 18 that streamlines the entire volunteer experience. Instead of juggling emails and phone calls, people can now browse opportunities, register for events, complete training, and track their service hours all from a single platform.

The portal connects volunteers with a wide range of projects across one of Atlanta's most beloved public spaces. Opportunities include trail cleanups, community events, the Adopt-the-Beltline stewardship program, guided bike tours, art programming, financial empowerment workshops, photography, and serving as event ambassadors or on advisory boards.

"Volunteers help bring the Beltline to life every single day," said Rob Brawner, executive director of Atlanta Beltline Partnership. "This new portal makes it easier for people to connect with opportunities that match their interests and strengthen connections across Atlanta through service and shared experiences."

New volunteers complete a quick orientation through the portal before their first shift. After that, they have instant access to browse projects, register, and watch their cumulative service hours grow.

The program welcomes individuals, families, businesses, and community groups. Teens 16 and older can volunteer with a parent-signed waiver, while youth ages 14 and up can participate when accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The Ripple Effect

The portal does more than just organize volunteers. It removes barriers that often keep people from serving their communities. By making volunteering accessible and trackable, the Beltline is strengthening connections across Atlanta's diverse neighborhoods.

Dedicated volunteers receive recognition for their commitment. Those who log 50 hours earn Verified Volunteer status, while reaching 100 hours brings Influencer Volunteer recognition. Both milestones come with a commemorative t-shirt celebrating their impact.

The Atlanta Beltline Partnership, the nonprofit that raises private support for Beltline programs, designed the portal to make community service feel less like a chore and more like what it really is: neighbors helping neighbors thrive.
