Australia-Thailand Program Links Food Innovators for Good

Australian food innovators now have a chance to team up with Thai partners to solve some of the world's biggest food challenges.

The Thailand-Australia Venture Exchange Program offers eligible agrifood startups and small businesses a 12-week international experience focused on sustainable food innovation. The program connects businesses from both countries with research institutions, industry experts, and new market opportunities.

Participating companies get professional coaching, expert mentoring, and direct access to markets in both nations. The goal is simple: help innovators create real solutions for food security, nutrition, and sustainable production while building lasting partnerships across borders.

The program welcomes businesses working on functional foods, innovative nutrition solutions, food safety improvements, and sustainable farming technologies. Aquaculture innovators and companies creating value from local agricultural resources are also encouraged to apply.

To qualify, businesses must be incorporated in Australia, hold an Australian Business Number, employ fewer than 200 people, and have an existing solution addressing sustainable food challenges. Startups and small enterprises developing scalable food technologies or affordable nutrition options are ideal candidates.

Selected participants go through four key phases: business assessment, intensive coaching and mentoring, market familiarization activities in both countries, and partnership development with researchers and industry leaders. The hands-on approach helps companies refine their strategies and prepare for international growth.
