When a World Cup coach admits he's scared of your team's mindset, you know something special is happening.

USA coach Mauricio Pochettino didn't mince words before facing Australia in Seattle. "They are a very strong team, really believing in what they are doing," he said. "We need to believe in the same way that they believe if we want to compete."

That belief didn't appear overnight. Coach Tony Popovic spent more than a month training with his squad before the tournament, building not just skills but mental strength.

Popovic sees room for his team to grow even stronger. "I'm confident that these boys can have another level, that they can go better again," he said.
