Belgian Startup's Electric Motorcycle Hauls Like a Car

Ever skip the motorcycle because you needed to haul groceries or camping gear? Belgian startup Any just solved that problem with a vehicle that proves you don't have to choose between going green and living your actual life.

The LUV1 electric motorcycle stores up to 120 liters of cargo, matching what you'd fit in a car trunk. It can hit speeds of 62 mph and travel 87 miles on a charge, making it practical for both daily commutes and weekend adventures.

What makes the LUV1 special is its modular design. Customers can customize their ride with different frame panels to transport pets, work equipment, or luggage. Optional add-ons include windshields, racks, and rain ponchos, turning it into whatever kind of vehicle each rider needs.

Former Pininfarina design director Lowie Vermeersch created the eye-catching design, which turned heads at Milan Design Week in May. His involvement helped Any secure more than 600 reservations in just 100 days.

The price starts at around $8,150, making it cheaper than cars and comparable to high-end electric cargo bikes. Better yet, riders only need an easy-to-obtain A1 license in most places, removing another barrier to entry.

The Ripple Effect

Any's approach tackles a real obstacle to reducing car dependence in cities. People want to choose greener transportation, but they need vehicles that fit their lives, not the other way around.

The startup has already attracted interest from last-mile delivery companies looking for practical alternatives to vans. With €2.75 million raised so far and a €10 million funding round in progress, Any plans to expand beyond the LUV1 to a full portfolio that could include three-wheelers.

The European motorcycle market is expected to go mostly electric by 2030, and solutions like the LUV1 show how that transition can actually make life easier. When sustainable choices become the convenient choices, real change happens.

First deliveries start soon, bringing car-level practicality to two wheels without the environmental cost.
