Bobby Rahal Doc Chronicles Legendary 1986 Indy 500 Win

A new documentary titled "Bobby Rahal: True American Racer" chronicles the emotional triumph that defined a legendary career. The film premieres May 8 at 7:30 p.m. ET on FOX, produced by FOX Sports, Big Machine Racing Productions and Chassy Media.

Rahal didn't just win that historic race. He delivered a breathtaking late pass against Kevin Cogan to claim victory in what became a deeply personal tribute to his team owner, Jim Trueman, who was battling cancer and died just days after the race.

"The 1986 Indy 500 altered the course of my life forever," Rahal says in the newly released trailer. The weight of that moment carried him through an extraordinary career, including two more championships in 1987 and 1992 before retiring in 1998 with 24 career wins.
