Boise Raises Funds for Breast Cancer Families Saturday

Boise's North End will glow pink this Saturday as hundreds gather for the Flock Cancer Street Stroll, a grassroots fundraiser that puts money directly into the hands of Treasure Valley families battling breast cancer.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a one-mile loop around Harrison Boulevard. There's no starting line or finish line, just neighbors walking together in solidarity.

Registration costs $40 for adults and teens, $25 for kids 12 and under. Every dollar raised stays local, supporting families facing the financial strain that comes with a breast cancer diagnosis.

What started as a neighborhood walk has grown into the Treasure Valley's signature breast cancer fundraiser. Organizers created the stroll to do more than raise awareness, they wanted to raise real money for real people in their own community.

Cancer survivors get VIP treatment with a dedicated lounge and gifts from sponsors. The Saint Alphonsus mobile mammogram unit will offer screening appointments on site, turning awareness into action.

Why This Inspires

This isn't a corporate charity event with overhead and bureaucracy. It's neighbors showing up for neighbors when life gets hard.

The walk celebrates three groups: the fighters still in treatment, the survivors who made it through, and those taken too soon. Each step around that mile loop honors someone's mother, sister, daughter, or friend.

After the stroll, Hazel Street closes down for the Albertsons Flock Party. Food, community, and connection replace cars and traffic.

McU Sports is even raffling a pink electric bike, with proceeds joining the pot for local families. Packet pickup runs Tuesday and Wednesday from 3 to 6 p.m. at their downtown location.
