Brittany Mahomes Joins UT Tyler Athletics Hall of Fame

Before becoming co-owner of a professional soccer team, Brittany Mahomes was breaking records on the college field.

The Kansas City Current co-owner and wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was inducted into the University of Texas at Tyler Athletics Hall of Fame over the weekend. Her college soccer career earned her a permanent place in the school's history books.

Mahomes dominated on the field during her time with the Lady Patriots, scoring 31 goals across 70 games. In her senior season alone, she netted 18 goals in 18 games, setting a program record that included four hat tricks.

The honor clearly touched a nerve for Mahomes, who credited her coach for bringing out her best. "This City and this School is a huge part of who I am today," she wrote on Instagram, thanking Coach Webb for the impact on her athletic career and personal growth.

The celebration included a special surprise for current players. The women's soccer team received new Team Mahomes kits and cleats for the fall 2026 season, complete with the signature Gladiator symbol.

The Ripple Effect

What started as a college soccer career has grown into something much bigger. Mahomes and Patrick became founding co-owners of the Kansas City Current in 2020, investing in women's professional soccer and creating opportunities for the next generation of athletes.

The couple's commitment to the sport goes beyond business. Mahomes played professionally in Ireland in 2017, gaining firsthand experience of what it takes to compete at the highest levels.

Her family celebrated the achievement online, with Patrick commenting "HOF BRITT!!!" and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce adding his support. Patrick's mother Randi praised Brittany's hard work and heart, noting it never goes unnoticed.

From high school sweethearts in Texas to parents of three children and sports team owners, the Mahomes family continues building a legacy both on and off the field.
