Bus Driver Saves Sleeping Family From Georgia House Fire

Marlene Davis was driving her usual school bus route through Morgan County, Georgia last Friday morning when she saw something that made her slam on the brakes. Flames were shooting up inside a home, and no one seemed to know.

With one student already on board, Davis pulled over and ran to the front door. She rang the doorbell over and over, refusing to give up until someone answered.

A man finally came to the door, groggy from sleep. He had no idea his house was on fire.

Thanks to Davis's persistence, everyone inside made it out safely. Firefighters arrived and contained the blaze, which appears to have started near the air conditioning unit.
