California Doubles EV Rebates With $600M Clean Air Budget

Buying your first electric vehicle in California just got thousands of dollars cheaper, thanks to a groundbreaking partnership between the state and major automakers.

Governor Newsom signed a $600 million clean air budget that includes MyFirstEV, the nation's first instant rebate program for first-time electric vehicle buyers. Instead of waiting months for a tax credit, eligible buyers walk out of the dealership with $3,500 off a new EV or $1,750 off a used one.
