Coffee Shop Raises $13K for Children's Hospital in Ohio

A new coffee shop in Huber Heights turned its grand opening into a giving opportunity, raising $13,000 for sick children in one weekend.

7 Brew opened its doors at 7605 Old Troy Pike with a unique approach: customers could pay whatever they wanted for their drinks during the first weekend. Every dollar went directly to Dayton Children's Hospital.

"We're thrilled to continue cultivating kindness in the Dayton area by partnering with Dayton Children's Hospital in their mission to serve sick children and their families in the community," said Jessy Schumann, a representative for 7 Brew's Brew Team Ohio.

Abby Adams from Dayton Children's accepted the check on behalf of the hospital. She said the money will support life-saving technology, equipment, and programs for children across the hospital's network.

The Ripple Effect

The new location brings more than just good coffee to Huber Heights. The store created 50 new jobs in the area, giving local residents fresh employment opportunities.

7 Brew has been expanding rapidly across the Miami Valley, with locations now open or planned in Springfield, Springboro, West Chester Township, Riverside, and other communities. The company operates more than 675 locations nationwide.

The menu features over 20,000 drink combinations, including specialty breves, energy drinks, smoothies, shakes, sodas, and teas. Popular choices include the "Blondie," made with caramel and vanilla.
