Colorado Firefighters Rescue Cat Stuck on 3-Story Roof

A curious gray tabby cat got more adventure than it bargained for Sunday when it climbed to the top of a three-story apartment building in Colorado Springs and couldn't find its way back down.

The cat's family called for help when they realized their furry friend was stuck on the roof. Colorado Springs Fire Department's Truck 8 responded to the unusual rescue call on February 15.

According to firefighters, the tabby had ventured a little too close to the sky. Like many cats before it, the adventurous climber "quickly realized it's easier going up than coming down."

The firefighting crew extended their tall ladder to the top of the building. They carefully climbed up and escorted the stranded kitty back to solid ground, where its grateful family was waiting.
