Constable Manoj Kumar Saves Girl From 50-Foot Well

When five-year-old Soumya fell nearly 50 feet into an old well in Farrukhabad, India, the race to save her became a test of one man's determination.

Constable Manoj Kumar volunteered to go down first. The well was narrow, barely wide enough for an adult, and the air grew thinner with each foot he descended.
