Cosplayer Brings Black Superheroes to Life

Jourdan Barnett walks into comic conventions dressed as characters most cosplayers wouldn't dare to attempt. His mission goes beyond just looking cool in a costume.

Now known as Blerd Vision (a blend of "Black" and "nerd"), Jourdan creates incredibly detailed costumes of both Caucasian and African American comic book heroes and villains. From Deadshot in "Suicide Squad" to lesser-known characters, his craftsmanship brings these figures to life in ways that challenge who gets to be the hero.
