Delhi Art Show Unites 12 Voices in Creative Celebration

Twelve artists just transformed a Delhi cultural hub into a journey through the many faces of human creativity.

The 'One | Many' exhibition at India Habitat Centre showcases how a single drive to create can produce completely different artistic expressions. Curator and artist Pabitra Pal gathered painters, sculptors, ceramicists, and mixed media artists to celebrate both unity and diversity in art.

"One idea manifests in many voices, each echoing a different shade of the human experience," Pal explains. The exhibition brings together bold paintings, thought-provoking sculptures, hand-built ceramics, and layered mixed media pieces that resist simple interpretation.

Each artist brings their own story to the walls. Deb Dutta finds beauty in nature's controlled wildness, describing it as "a lovechild of order and chaos." Debangshu Biswas paints everyday characters in conversation, fascinated by how people connect with each other.

Monika Prasad uses architecture to explore empty space, arguing that the void is actually the most important part of any design. Her work also addresses how nature and women face similar patterns of being overlooked and mistreated.

Soumen Basu draws inspiration from natural transformations and rhythms that people often miss. "We are aware of the theories and the science behind the phenomena in nature. But what about our emotions and visualizations with our inner eye?" he asks.

The large hall setup creates something special for visitors. People can wander freely between artworks, choosing their own path and making their own connections based on personal experience and interest.

The Ripple Effect

Group exhibitions like this one do more than display individual talent. They create spaces where diverse perspectives meet, where viewers become active participants in meaning-making rather than passive observers.

When artists approach similar themes in wildly different ways, they invite audiences to compare, question, and reflect. Personal memories merge with communal rituals, found materials transform into narratives, and individual struggles become shared human experiences.

The exhibition demonstrates how art helps people express what ordinary language cannot capture. Each unique style reflects a different personality, a different way of understanding the world and oneself.

Creativity becomes a bridge between internal and external realities, between order and chaos, between the personal and the universal.
