Dental Conference Doubles Donations Up to $15K for Care

😊 Feel Good

A law firm's dental industry group is matching every donation made at their conference this week, potentially adding $15,000 to support oral health charities serving people from childhood through senior years. Three organizations focused on underserved communities will benefit from the doubled generosity.

When conference attendees give to charity this week in Denver, their donations will instantly double in value thanks to a law firm that sees oral health as a lifelong right, not a privilege.

The Dykema DSO Industry Group announced it will match every dollar donated to three featured charities during the 13th Annual DSO Conference, running July 15 to 17. The firm will match up to $5,000 per organization, meaning $15,000 total in potential matching funds that could turn $15,000 in attendee donations into $30,000 in care.

This year's giving centers on what organizers call the Continuum of Care. The theme honors a simple truth: everyone deserves a healthy smile, whether they're sitting in a dental chair for the first time as a scared kid or as a senior who thought their smiling days were over.

TeamSmile brings dental professionals together with pro sports teams to deliver free care to underserved children. Since launching, they've hosted over 350 programs, served more than 70,000 kids, and provided over $25 million in free dental care and education. "We look forward to sharing our story with attendees," said Executive Director John McCarthy.

Saving Face saves lives through oral cancer education and early detection. They train dental teams to make screenings routine so no patient faces the disease alone. Executive Director Amber Young credits a diligent dental team with saving her own life. "Cancer knows no boundaries, and neither does our mission," she said.

Dental Lifeline Network helps vulnerable adults, including seniors and people with disabilities, access care they couldn't otherwise afford. Their Donated Dental Services program has connected patients with volunteer dentists for over 50 years, supported by 12,000 dentists and 3,000 labs nationwide.

The Ripple Effect

Conference attendees can visit the Continuum of Care display in Cottonwood 4 throughout the event to learn about each organization and donate by scanning a QR code. Every contribution gets matched immediately.

"The DSO community has always understood that great dentistry changes lives," said Brian Colao, Director of the Dykema DSO Industry Group. "By matching every gift our attendees make, we are turning a shared belief into real care for the people who need it most."

The matching gift transforms individual generosity into collective impact, proving that when communities come together around shared values, everyone wins.
