"I want to play exciting, expansive football and given time I'm sure we can," Eustace told BBC Sport. "We're making strides forward, but you can't just go from one extreme to the other. It has to be built over a period of time."

If Derby beats Swansea this Saturday, they could end the weekend in the playoff positions. Eustace admits the team is already "ahead of schedule" in their promotion challenge, though he refuses to get caught up in the growing excitement around Pride Park.
