Nylabone launched its Love Our Oceans Collection this Earth Day, transforming abandoned fishing nets into chew toys that last. The company recovered over 100,000 pounds of ocean-bound nylon and turned it into more than 1.5 million toys for dogs.

Each year, more than 1 million tons of plastic waste enters our oceans, with discarded fishing nets ranking among the deadliest threats to marine life. These "ghost nets" trap dolphins, sea turtles, and countless fish, strangling coral reefs and littering coastlines for decades.

Nylabone's solution tackles this problem head-on. The new collection features five different chew toy designs, each made with 30% reclaimed fishing net material, meeting the same durability standards the brand has maintained since 1955.

"With our headquarters located just a few miles from New Jersey's beaches, helping to keep the ocean clean is a cause that hits close to home," said Glen Axelrod, Nylabone's President and CEO. The company didn't sacrifice quality for sustainability. These toys still satisfy dogs' natural chewing instincts and help clean their teeth.
