$26K in Scholarships Open for Chinese American Students

Six Chinese American students will soon have less financial stress standing between them and their college dreams, thanks to a scholarship program that rewards both brains and heart.

The National Association of Chinese Americans and Ko Family Foundation just opened applications for their 2026 scholarship program, offering $26,000 in total funding to high school seniors and college freshmen or sophomores. The top two winners will each receive $10,000, while four additional students will earn between $1,000 and $2,000.

Unlike scholarships focused solely on test scores, this program looks at the whole student. Applicants need to demonstrate academic excellence, leadership abilities, commitment to service, and cultural stewardship within the Chinese American community.

The partnership between NACA and the Ko Family Foundation reflects a growing recognition that tomorrow's leaders need more than just good grades. They need compassion, cultural awareness, and a track record of giving back.
