Drew Brees and Larry Fitzgerald Join Hall of Fame Class

Five football heroes are headed to Canton this summer, with two of the game's most respected players earning their gold jackets on the first try.

Drew Brees and Larry Fitzgerald headline the Pro Football Hall of Fame's 2026 class, announced Thursday night during the NFL Honors ceremony. They'll be joined by legendary kicker Adam Vinatieri, linebacker Luke Kuechly, and running back Roger Craig.

Brees retired as a 13-time Pro Bowler who led the league in passing seven times. His five 5,000-yard passing seasons remain an NFL record, and he finished his career with the New Orleans Saints having thrown for 80,538 yards.

Fitzgerald becomes the first player to enter the Hall after spending his entire career with the Arizona Cardinals. With 17,492 receiving yards and 1,432 catches, he ranks second all-time in both categories and earned 11 Pro Bowl selections across his remarkable run.

Vinatieri's 24-year career produced the most points in NFL history with 2,673. The clutch kicker made 599 field goals and delivered some of football's most memorable moments, including his legendary kick through a New England blizzard in the 2001 "Tuck Rule" playoff game.

Kuechly stepped away after just eight seasons due to concussion concerns, but his impact was undeniable. He earned Defensive Player of the Year honors in his second season and recorded at least 100 tackles in every year of his career with the Carolina Panthers.

Craig made history in 1985 as the first player to gain 1,000 yards rushing and 1,000 yards receiving in the same season. Only two others have matched that feat in the 40 years since, cementing his place as a pioneer in the modern passing game.

These five players didn't just put up impressive statistics. They changed how football is played and inspired countless young athletes watching from home.
