Dua Lipa Turns Mexico City Shows Into Concert Film

When Dua Lipa wrapped up her Radical Optimism world tour in Mexico City last December, she knew the moment was too special to let fade away.

The British pop superstar just announced "Dua Lipa (Live From Mexico)," a concert film and live album captured during three packed shows at GNP Seguros Stadium. The film premieres May 21 on her YouTube channel, free for fans worldwide.

"This tour has been the most beautiful and rewarding experience of my career so far," Lipa says in the trailer. Her connection to Mexico City runs deep, and it shows in every frame.

During the concerts, Lipa surprised audiences by performing classic Mexican songs "Bésame Mucho" and "Oye Mi Amor" alongside Fher Olvera, lead vocalist of Grammy-winning band Maná. These weren't just covers but genuine tributes that had the crowd singing every word.

The 21-song film features tracks from her 2024 album Radical Optimism plus fan favorites like "One Kiss" and "New Rules." But the music was only part of the celebration.

Why This Inspires

Lipa's production team opened Taquería La Dua, a pop-up taco shop, during the December concert series. Fans grabbed Dua-themed tacos before and after shows, transforming the concerts into a full cultural experience that honored Mexican food traditions.

In her newsletter Service 95, Lipa called Mexico City "one of my favorite places in the world" and shared her go-to spots around the capital. That affection clearly goes both ways, with Mexican fans packing three consecutive stadium shows.

"Mexico City, I love you, I love you, I love you," she tells the crowd in the trailer. Now fans everywhere can relive those December nights and feel that energy for themselves.
