Ducklings Crash Royal Gun Salute at Hyde Park

Sometimes the best moments at formal ceremonies are the ones nobody planned.

A mother duck led her fluffy ducklings in a parade of their own during King Charles III's coronation anniversary celebration at Hyde Park on May 6. As the King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery prepared to fire a 41-gun salute marking three years since the coronation, the duck family confidently waddled across the grass in full view of gathered crowds and cameras.

The timing couldn't have been more perfect. Just as soldiers stood at attention in their ceremonial uniforms, the ducklings followed their mother single-file across the parade ground, completely unbothered by the pomp and circumstance surrounding them.
