Egypt Launches Logivators Hackathon for Transport Innovation

Egypt is inviting innovators to reimagine how goods move across the country, and the best ideas will get real support to make them happen.

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology just opened applications for Logivators, a four-day hackathon designed to tackle transportation and logistics challenges. Running until April 15, the competition brings together entrepreneurs, industry veterans, and mentors at the Creativa Innovation Hub in Giza.

This marks the third year of the program, which partners with Startup Factory Egypt, Egytrans NOSCO, and Alexandria Container and Cargo Handling Company. Participants will work directly with logistics professionals to develop solutions that address actual problems companies face today.

The hackathon targets a critical need in Egypt's economy. As the country positions itself as a regional trade hub, efficient supply chains become essential infrastructure, not just business conveniences.

Top teams won't just walk away with prizes. They'll receive ongoing mentorship, specialized workshops on business models and technology development, and introductions to key players in the logistics industry who could become partners or customers.

The program runs through the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, part of Egypt's Information Technology Industry Development Agency. That government backing signals how seriously Egypt takes innovation as an economic strategy.
