Egypt Launches National Platform for 81,000 Entrepreneurs

Egypt just switched on the digital engine for its next generation of innovators, and the numbers show it's already running at full speed.

The Information Technology Industry Development Agency launched the revamped "Egypt Innovate" platform at the AI Everything Summit this week, creating the country's first fully integrated national hub for entrepreneurs. The platform connects startups with investors, universities, research centers, and government support in one digital space.

More than 81,000 entrepreneurs have already registered on the platform during its pilot phase. They now have access to 780 organizations including startups, investors, and business incubators, plus over 3,700 pieces of content covering funding opportunities, industry news, and expert advice.

The platform features an AI assistant that guides entrepreneurs through available services and helps them find exactly what they need to grow. An interactive data map lets users explore and connect with startups, investors, and incubators across different sectors and regions.

Ahmed ElZaher, CEO of ITIDA, explained that the platform creates a dynamic database showcasing company activities and business models to attract both local and international investment. This direct pipeline to funding helps entrepreneurs transform innovative ideas into scalable businesses faster.

The platform was built through a partnership between three Egyptian companies: Entlaq leads the consortium, Robusta developed the technical infrastructure, and Kamelizer handles digital marketing. This public-private collaboration represents a new model for supporting innovation at the national level.

One standout feature is the platform's specialized Arabic language content. Enabling entrepreneurs to access knowledge and opportunities in their native language removes barriers and helps build local talent capable of competing globally.

A network of over 20 specialized experts has already joined as advisors, forming the beginning of a mentorship community to support new entrepreneurs. The digital startup gallery lets founders showcase their ventures directly to potential investors and partners.

Egypt's innovation ecosystem is getting the infrastructure it needs to compete regionally and internationally. By connecting all the pieces in one place, entrepreneurs no longer need to hunt across multiple channels to find funding, mentorship, or technical support.
