EgyptAir Flies 3,000 Hajj Pilgrims Home After Sacred Journey

After completing one of the most important journeys of their lives, 3,000 Egyptian pilgrims are being welcomed home with care and efficiency by EgyptAir's dedicated airlift operation.

The national carrier launched its return operation immediately after pilgrims completed their Hajj rituals in Saudi Arabia. Chairman Ahmed Adel directed his teams to provide maximum care during the journey home, ensuring that the spiritual high of the pilgrimage extends all the way to arrivals.

EgyptAir pooled all its operational and technical resources to make the massive logistics effort run smoothly. The airline coordinated closely with authorities in Saudi Arabia and Cairo International Airport to ensure swift processing and comfortable travel for returning pilgrims.

On the ground in Saudi Arabia, a dedicated mission team led by Amin Afifi is providing essential logistical services at Jeddah and Medina airports. The team ensures pilgrims from diverse backgrounds get the support they need, whether they're part of government delegations, lottery winners who earned their trip, or individual travelers.

Today's schedule includes 12 flights departing from Jeddah, carrying pilgrims from ministerial groups, institutional delegations, and individual travelers. Three additional flights are departing Medina for Cairo, with one more heading to Alexandria to serve pilgrims from Egypt's northern regions.
