Fall River Teen Wins Gold for Team USA in Chile
Nineteen-year-old Aidan Lambert just brought home his third world championship gold medal in kickboxing, this time representing Team USA at the WAKO World Championships in Chile. The Fall River native has made the podium every year since 2024, proving dedication and hometown pride go hand in hand.
A Fall River teenager is heading home from Chile with a gold medal around his neck and another world championship title under his belt.
Aidan Lambert, 19, captured first place in the K-1 63kg kickboxing division at the World Championships in Chile, representing Team USA on the international stage. The Diman graduate has trained for over a decade at Gillett's Mixed Martial Arts in nearby Tiverton, Rhode Island.
This win marks Lambert's third consecutive year claiming gold at world championships. He earned his spot on this year's Team USA roster after winning the Adult K-1 Advanced Division at the 2026 WAKO Kickboxing National Championship in Colorado Springs earlier this year.
In both 2024 and 2025, Lambert also stood atop the podium at USA National Championships. Those victories sent him to Budapest, Hungary, where he competed at the WAKO World Championships twice before, bringing home gold both times.
His impressive record hasn't gone unnoticed at home. Last year, U.S. Representative Jake Auchincloss and Massachusetts State Senator Michael Rodrigues recognized Lambert for his achievements.

Why This Inspires
Lambert's journey shows what happens when natural talent meets relentless work ethic. Ten years of training means he started this path as a nine-year-old kid with a dream, showing up day after day at the gym even when nobody was watching.
His coaches and community members describe him as someone who never takes shortcuts. While many teenagers his age are figuring out what they want to do, Lambert has already represented his country three times on the world stage and brought home hardware each time.
The consistency matters most. Anyone can have one good day, one lucky break. Lambert has proven himself year after year, tournament after tournament, against the best fighters the world has to offer.
Young athletes across Fall River and beyond now have a hometown hero who proves that small-city kids can compete with anyone, anywhere. Lambert didn't need to move to a major training center or leave his community behind to reach the top of his sport.
He's building a legacy one fight at a time, and he's only 19.
