Finland and NY's Largest Hospital Partner on Health Tech

Northwell Health, New York State's largest healthcare provider, has joined forces with Finland's Consulate General to fast-track medical innovations that could transform patient care across America.

The partnership connects Finnish health tech companies with Northwell's network of 28 hospitals, over 20,000 physicians, and three million patients. Finnish innovators will work directly with clinicians and researchers to test and refine their technologies in real clinical environments.

Finland brings serious credentials to the table. The Nordic nation has built a world-class reputation for digital health infrastructure, artificial intelligence in medicine, and data-driven healthcare solutions. Finnish companies will tap into one of the largest healthcare systems in the United States to validate their technologies where it matters most: with actual patients.

The agreement was signed during a Finnish health innovation delegation visit to New York, bringing together companies and healthcare leaders exploring transatlantic collaboration opportunities. Larry Kraemer, Executive VP and Chief Legal Officer at Northwell Health, and Juhani Sirén, Region Head for Trade Promotion with Team Finland North America, formalized the partnership.
