Firefighter Gifts Bell to Give Cancer Patients Hope

A firefighter battling cancer noticed something missing at his treatment center and decided to fix it with a gift that carries decades of meaning.

Shane Naylor, a Mercer County firefighter undergoing cancer treatment at Baptist Health Lexington Cancer Center, realized the facility didn't have a survivor bell for patients to ring when they complete treatment. So he donated the bell from an old fire truck that had been sitting in his office.
