Firefighters Rescue Man and Dog From Icy Virginia Hill

When Lyla the dog slipped down an icy hill in Dumfries, Virginia, her owner didn't hesitate to follow, but both ended up stranded hundreds of feet below.

Assistant Fire Chief Matt Smolsky confirmed neither the owner nor his dog suffered any injuries during the ordeal. The rescue was a complete success thanks to the crew's specialized training.
