Four Louisiana Wrestlers Win Baton Rouge Championship

Four wrestlers from Ascension Parish stood at the top of the podium last week, each claiming first place in their divisions at a major Baton Rouge competition.

The champions emerged from the Greater Baton Rouge Championship held January 23 at Catholic High School. Alaina Winston of Prairieville, Breanna Cullen of East Ascension, Mikayla Byington of St. Amant, and Lilly Johnson of Dutchtown each dominated their brackets.

The wins showcase the growing strength of wrestling programs across four different parish schools. Each athlete trained independently at their own school, yet all four reached the same peak of excellence on competition day.
