France Covers Weight-Loss Drugs for 1M Obese Patients

France is breaking new ground by becoming the first European Union nation to reimburse weight-loss medications for severely obese patients, opening access to life-changing treatments for roughly one million people.

Health Minister Stephanie Rist announced the historic initiative will cover two breakthrough drugs: Novo Nordisk's Wegovy and Eli Lilly's Mounjaro.
