Six years ago, Iliman Ndiaye was playing in England's seventh tier of football, sometimes risking missing his last train home because he wanted extra time on the training pitch. Today, the 26-year-old Senegal winger just signed a five-year deal with Manchester City in a transfer worth up to £65 million.

Ndiaye's journey started in the most unlikely place for a future Premier League star. At 19, he was in the youth ranks of non-league Boreham Wood and playing Sunday league football in London when Sheffield United invited him for a one-week trial.
