Germany Launches 3 GW Clean Energy Tender for 2026

Germany just took another major step toward a cleaner future by launching tenders for almost 3 gigawatts of new renewable energy capacity.

The German Federal Network Agency announced two separate tenders in late March 2026. One will develop 2.5 gigawatts of onshore wind power, while the other targets 475 megawatts of innovative projects that combine different clean energy technologies.

This isn't a one-time push. Germany plans to allocate a total of 10 gigawatts of onshore wind capacity throughout 2026, spread across four separate tenders. The country is also dedicating 950 megawatts to innovation projects this year, split between two rounds of bidding.
