Guy Fieri and Kevin Costner Team Up for Veterans

When Guy Fieri spotted Kevin Costner at a Super Bowl party, their conversation quickly turned from small talk to a shared mission: honoring the people who serve.

The "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" star stopped mid-interview to approach the two-time Academy Award winner about teaming up. Fieri had heard about Costner's work with veterans and first responders in Santa Barbara and wanted in.

"I've heard a bunch of my buddies talk about that you and I are supposed to collaborate," Fieri told Costner at the Fanatics party ahead of Super Bowl LX. He called the actor "the real deal" for his dedication to those who protect our communities.

Fieri's Guy Fieri Foundation operates under a simple motto: "serving those who serve us." When disasters strike, his team shows up to feed first responders on the front lines.

Between emergencies, they visit veterans' homes and military bases across the country to show appreciation. "We just go around the country and recognize all the first responders and veterans," Fieri explained.

Costner serves on the executive board of One805, a nonprofit born from the 2018 Santa Barbara wildfires and mudslides. The organization strengthens the readiness and resilience of first responders through fundraising and support programs.

For years, Costner has hosted One805LIVE! at his oceanside Summerland estate, turning his home into a venue for one of the organization's biggest fundraising events. True to form, he downplayed his contributions when Fieri praised his work.

"I get way too much credit for doing way too little," Costner said humbly. "But yeah, we kind of highlighted those men and women."
