Dame Good Time pulled off something extraordinary Tuesday at Pocono Downs in Pennsylvania, tying the world record for older trotting geldings with a lightning-fast 1:50.2 finish. The seven-year-old horse thundered across the five-eighths-mile track, matching a record first set in 2023 and giving fans a moment they'll remember for years.

The path to victory took some unexpected turns. Driver Ridge Warren only got the ride after two other drivers had scheduling conflicts, but he made the most of his opportunity.

The record also shattered Pocono's local standard, which had stood since 2013. Dame Good Time beat the previous mark by one-fifth of a second, proving that even longstanding records can fall when talent meets opportunity.
