Thousands of people will fill Main Street in Flemington, New Jersey on June 14th to celebrate America's 250th birthday with a parade that brings the whole community together.
Hunterdon County Commissioner Shaun C. Van Doren announced the America's 250th Parade Celebration will take place on Flag Day at 2 p.m., featuring high school marching bands, veterans groups, first responders, and historical reenactors dressed as Revolutionary War soldiers. The event partners include the Hunterdon 300th Committee, ShopRite of Hunterdon County, and the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce.
"This is an event for the entire family, and it's not to be missed," Van Doren said. "The County will come together to celebrate America's 250th birthday."
The parade will showcase three local high school marching bands, the Somerset County Police Pipes and Drums, and decorated floats representing the diversity of Hunterdon County. Historical reenactment groups including the Second New Jersey Regiment, the 15th Regiment New Jersey Infantry, and Gold's Dragoon will bring history to life on the streets.
Youth groups, civic organizations, cultural groups, and local businesses will join the celebration honoring generations of Americans who built the nation. First responders and community leaders will march alongside residents in a display of patriotic unity.

The Ripple Effect
Just before announcing the parade details, county commissioners recognized another community milestone. The Unity Bank Center for Business & Entrepreneurship celebrated its 10th anniversary of helping local entrepreneurs and small businesses grow.
The center has served as a hub for innovation and mentorship over the past decade, offering workshops, networking opportunities, and professional resources. Partnerships with organizations like SCORE Central Jersey and local educational institutions have helped build a stronger business community.
Commissioner Van Doren presented a proclamation to the Chamber of Commerce's Board of Directors, celebrating how the center has empowered individuals and strengthened the local economy. County leaders attended multiple Chamber events in May, including its 110th Annual Meeting where New Jersey Lt. Governor Dr. Dale Caldwell spoke.
The combination of celebrating America's historic milestone while honoring local business growth shows how Hunterdon County invests in both its past and its future.
