India Offers 70 Scholarships to Ghanaian Students

Seventy Ghanaian students will get the chance to study in India completely free, with applications now open through mid-April.

India's High Commission in Accra announced the scholarships for the 2026-2027 academic year, part of a growing educational partnership between the two nations. The Indian Council for Cultural Relations is funding the entire package: flights, tuition, monthly living expenses, housing support, and academic materials.

The main scholarship program covers both science and non-science subjects at all levels, from bachelor's degrees through doctoral studies. Students can choose from recognized universities across India in fields ranging from engineering to business to medicine.

A second scholarship focuses on arts and culture, offering training in Indian dance, music, theater, sculpture, languages, and even culinary arts. The program also includes a one-year diploma in yoga at select institutions, bringing traditional wellness practices into formal education.
