Indian Railway Division Wins 5 Efficiency Awards

Workers at India's Thiruvananthapuram Railway Division are celebrating after taking home five major awards recognizing their commitment to safety and service excellence.

The division claimed the General Manager's Inter-Divisional Overall Efficiency Shield, the highest honor for all-around performance across Southern Railway's network. They shared the prestigious award with Palakkad division during the 71st Railway Week Celebrations held in Chennai on June 11.

The recognition didn't stop there. Thiruvananthapuram also secured the Safety Efficiency Shield, proving their dedication to protecting passengers and workers. They won awards for Best Maintained Health Unit, Accounts Efficiency, and Personnel Efficiency, sharing some honors with neighboring divisions.

Divyakant Chandrakar, the division's Railway Manager, accepted the shields on behalf of thousands of railway workers who make safe, efficient train travel possible every day.
