Indiana University football players brought their championship celebration directly to the fans who cheered them to victory, hosting meet and greets across Bloomington that drew hundreds of supporters.

Quarterback Fernando Mendoza kicked off the three-day celebration on January 21 at Dick's Sporting Goods, where 250 wristbands were distributed to fans who had camped outside overnight. The dedication didn't go unnoticed: one generous fan ordered 30 Papa John's pizzas to share with everyone waiting in the cold.

The connection between players and fans went beyond quick autographs and photos. When one emotional fan started crying after meeting Mendoza, the quarterback stood up and gave them a comforting hug. He greeted each person by name, asking about their lives and laughing at creative signs, including one "promposal" invitation.

Wide receiver Elijah Sarratt took fan engagement to another level at Raising Cane's on January 22, "working a shift" for a promotional video and handing out box combos through the walk-up window. Defensive backs D'Angelo Ponds and Jamari Sharpe joined him for photos and autographs.
