The four-day India Stonemart 2026 concluded in Jaipur on February 8th, bringing together stone exhibitors, entrepreneurs, and exporters from across India and around the world. The event's closing message was clear: ecological balance and safe mining practices must guide the industry's future.

Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagade addressed the 13th edition of Stonemart at Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre. He highlighted that Rajasthan accounts for an impressive 70% of India's stone mining and processing, making it among the largest producers of marble, granite, and sandstone globally.

The governor emphasized that social security in mining goes beyond policy. "It's the moral responsibility of a mature industry," he said, calling for rigorous efforts to explore entrepreneurial potential while maintaining craftsmanship and aesthetic appeal.

The event showcased cutting-edge innovations that prove sustainability and profitability can work together. Digital cutting technology, robotic finishing systems, ultra-thin slabs, and sustainable stone architecture emerged as fields with "immense future potential."

Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani urged stone industry entrepreneurs to embrace innovation, technology, and environmental sustainability as core business values. The message resonated with participants who recognized that protecting natural resources ensures the industry's longevity.

The Centre for Development of Stones announced the next Stonemart will convene in 2028, giving the industry two years to implement sustainable practices and showcase even greater progress.
