Israeli Tech Leader Builds Global Bridges Through Innovation

When world leaders needed to reach the CEO of TikTok after October 7, 2023, they didn't call diplomats. They called Yasmin Lukatz, founder of the Israel Collaboration Network.

From the 61st floor of a Tel Aviv tower, Lukatz shared her journey from Silicon Valley investor to nonprofit leader building bridges between Israeli startups and tech titans. Her organization has connected Israeli officials with everyone from Google's founders to investor Peter Thiel.

"Once you get to know a person, you understand we're not the devil," Lukatz told a gathering of philanthropists and entrepreneurs. "We're just great people. It becomes harder to hate us."

Her latest project brings together entrepreneurs who recently sold their companies for large sums. Working with the Jewish Funders Network, she hosts sessions encouraging newly wealthy tech leaders to embrace strategic philanthropy. The gatherings have been so successful she's planning more.

Lukatz believes Israel's technological edge serves as both economic engine and diplomatic asset. When she recently addressed the Knesset about US-Israel collaboration in military technology, she emphasized how innovation strengthens national security beyond weapons systems.

While she avoids traditional public relations efforts, calling that field too fragmented, her approach demonstrates a different path. Building genuine professional relationships across borders creates understanding that no PR campaign can manufacture.
