The basic setup includes just two panels and a compact battery module for about $1,000, making clean energy accessible without the sticker shock of traditional solar installations.

What makes this different is how it grows with you. Each additional battery module weighs just 46 pounds and installs without professional help. You simply plug them in when you're ready to expand, like adding building blocks to increase your home's energy independence.

The starter system powers about 800 watts when connected to the grid, enough to run lights, computers, and small appliances. But disconnect it during an outage, and each unit delivers up to 3,680 watts of backup power.

The solar panels themselves break the mold too. Jackery partnered with Sunbooster to create flexible panels that weave into standard wire fences. Since these panels capture sunlight from both sides, they work especially well in northern climates where traditional roof angles miss winter sun.

The Bright Side

The real genius shows up over time. That modest balcony system can eventually combine with two others to create a whole-home solution. With some basic installation work, the combined setup accepts up to 12 kilowatts of solar input and stores up to 45 kilowatt-hours, enough for most fully electric homes with EVs in the driveway.

The system comes with a 10-year warranty and should last over 15 years. Because it's modular and easy to install, there's potential for a robust secondhand market when people upgrade or no longer need their units.

Safety features match those of permanent installations, with a seven-layer protection system managing everything through AI-powered software. The technology doesn't get dumbed down just because the entry point is affordable.
