Justin Grant Joins Elite Club with 100th USAC Win at IMS

Justin Grant made history Thursday night at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, etching his name alongside racing royalty with his 100th United States Auto Club national feature win.

The Ione, California driver joined an elite group of just five racers who've reached the century mark in USAC competition. He now stands with legends A.J. Foyt, Rich Vogler, Mel Kenyon, and Dave Darland in one of sprint car racing's most exclusive clubs.

Grant captured the milestone victory in the opening race of Indiana Sprint Week, pocketing $10,000 and his second consecutive win at the Speedway's dirt track. Starting from pole position, he briefly lost the lead on lap 4 when Jake Swanson slipped past on the inside groove.

But Grant stayed patient, trusting his setup and reading the track like a favorite book. "I think we were set up to just run the wall, and so I bailed off the bottom early and lost the lead, but wasn't too worried about it," Grant said after the race.

Six laps later, the track rewarded his confidence. As Swanson lost momentum exiting Turn 2, Grant powered around the outside to reclaim first place and never looked back.

He led the final 26 laps, pulling away from the 37-car field after each restart. Years of experience at IMS gave him an edge, with tricks learned from midget racing translating perfectly to his TOPP Motorsports sprint car.

"I've been so fortunate, so blessed to have had the opportunities that I've had in my career," Grant reflected. The win marked his fifth career victory at the track, adding to his growing IMS legacy.
