That temperature drop translated to 40% more power output. Even better, the cooling improved how efficiently the panels converted sunlight to electricity, boosting what engineers call the "fill factor" by nearly 15%.

The water savings matter just as much as the power gains. The system uses only 0.14 liters of water per hour for each square meter of panel. That's 86% less than earlier natural-fiber cooling approaches, and it recovers over 80% of the water through condensation rather than losing it to evaporation.
