Kevin Durant Eyes Fifth Olympic Gold at LA28 at Age 39

No basketball player has ever won five Olympic gold medals, but Kevin Durant wants to be the first when Los Angeles hosts the Games in 2028. He'll be 39 years old and playing at home.

His 156 points at London 2012 remain the most any U.S. player has scored at a single Games, and his 20.7 points per game in Tokyo set the scoring average record. Even at Paris 2024, where a calf injury limited his preparation, he shot over 50 percent from three-point range.
