Kids Save Turtle, Rush to Police on Bikes

A group of kids in Monona, Wisconsin turned a bike ride into a rescue mission when they discovered a turtle stuck on its back at the bottom of a storm drain near the local pool.

Kaylee Herfell's daughter and her friends could have kept riding. Instead, they stopped to help an animal that couldn't help itself.

One classmate stayed behind, pouring water on the stranded turtle to keep it cool in the heat. The others pedaled as fast as they could to the police station to alert authorities.
