When Krishna Nagar stepped onto the court in France, he faced the toughest opponent imaginable: a Paralympic champion playing in front of his home crowd.

The Indian para badminton star didn't flinch. He defeated Charles Noakes of France in straight games to win the Men's Singles SH6 title at the French Para Badminton International 2026, proving once again why he's one of the sport's brightest talents.

The first game played out like a chess match, with both Paralympic champions trading points and momentum. Krishna stayed patient through the pressure, finally edging ahead 21-19 to take the opening game.

That narrow victory unlocked something powerful. In the second game, Krishna took complete control, dominating the rallies and dictating every exchange to win 21-11 and secure the gold medal.

"It is always special to win a title against a strong opponent, especially a Paralympic champion playing in front of his home crowd," Krishna said after the match. "I stayed patient and trusted my preparation."

Krishna's success extended beyond the singles court. He partnered with Sivarajan Solaimalai for bronze in Men's Doubles SH6 and teamed up with Nithya Sre Sumathy Sivan for another bronze in Mixed Doubles SH6, walking away with three medals total.
