LA Firefighters Save Dog in 14-Minute Hollywood Hills Rescue

A small dog is back with its family thanks to Los Angeles firefighters who turned a scary situation into a happy ending Wednesday afternoon.

The fire broke out just after noon in the 2000 block of North Argyle Avenue in the Hollywood Hills, north of Franklin Avenue. Within minutes, 33 firefighters arrived on scene ready to battle the blaze threatening the home.

The crew worked with impressive speed and coordination. In just 14 minutes, they had the flames completely extinguished, according to LA Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.

But the team didn't stop at putting out the fire. As they cleared the home, firefighters discovered a small dog still inside the unit.
