Luke Combs Raises $150K for Kids' Hospital Opening Cards

Luke Combs just proved that hobbies can change lives when his love of sports trading cards raised over $150,000 for sick children in Indiana.

The country music superstar launched "Packs for Purpose" earlier this year after discovering trading cards. Instead of keeping his new passion private, he turned it into a charity initiative that lets fans watch him open card packs on eBay livestreams while bidding on collectibles.

All the money goes straight to local organizations in the cities where he performs. Last Friday night, before his sold-out show at Notre Dame Stadium, Combs hosted a livestream that brought in more than $150,000 for A Rosie Place for Children.

A Rosie Place is Indiana's only licensed specialty hospital for medically fragile kids. The donation will cover more than 200 overnight stays for children and their families at no cost to them.

Tieal Bishop, the hospital's CEO and founder, met Combs on Saturday to thank him personally. The singer told her, "We were so glad to be able to help the children. It's amazing what you all do there."

Local charities receive significant funding without hosting traditional galas or campaigns. And Combs gets to enjoy his hobby while making a real difference.

The plan is to partner with local card shops in every tour city throughout 2026. Each livestream event happens the night before a concert, creating a rhythm of giving that follows his My Kinda Saturday Night Tour across America and Europe.

Indiana's event was just the beginning. With stadium shows scheduled everywhere from Ohio to Wembley, dozens more organizations could receive similar windfalls before the year ends.
