Man Returns Lost Purse to Arkansas Woman's Doorstep

When Alexis Huffine returned home after searching for her lost purse, she couldn't believe what was waiting on her doorstep.

The Paragould, Arkansas resident lost her purse Sunday after a Super Bowl party when it fell off her vehicle onto the road. She went back to look for it but came up empty.

"He must have picked it up by then," Huffine said.

On Monday, she walked up to her front door and spotted something familiar. Her purse sat on the porch, completely untouched.

"I was like, 'No way, that's my purse,'" Huffine said. "It was on my porch, untouched, everything in it, money camera cash everything."

Her Ring camera revealed what happened. A man named Taylor Duke had found her purse, pulled out her ID to find her address, and personally delivered it to her home. He even tried ringing the doorbell to hand it to her directly.

Duke didn't have to make the trip. He could have turned the purse in to police or simply left it where he found it. Instead, he took time out of his day to make sure Huffine got her belongings back safely.

This simple act of honesty reminds us that good people are everywhere. Duke had every opportunity to walk away, but he chose to do the right thing without expecting anything in return.

Huffine used social media to track down her Good Samaritan, determined that his kindness wouldn't go unnoticed. "It showed me that there were people who are truly kind and he did not have to go out of his way to bring that back to me, but he did and I appreciate that so much," she said.

Sometimes the smallest gestures restore our faith in humanity the most.
